 The Old Arbat street is a smart presentation of the 19th century Moscow, where lived Alexander Pushkin, where actors, singers and artists did their creative work. The street used to be and it is a favorite place of citizens for promen The street got its name from an Arab word “rabat” meaning “a suburb”. If you came the street yiu will feel the atmosphere of the city and you will be among the locals.
 You will see here a Hard Rock Cafe, 18th and 19th residential buildings and one of the most famous Moscow’s theaters - the Drama Theater named after Evgeniy Vakhtagov. The guide will translate the greetings of the famous people to the gests of Moscow.

St. Savior Cathedral

 Cathedral of Christ the Savior was build as a monument to commemorate the victory of Russia over Napoleon and was an architectural landmark of Moscow for a long time. But in Stalin’s time as many other churches it was blown up and an open air swimming pool was built in its place. In the 1990s the Cathedral was built from the scratch on people’s donations.

New Maiden cemetery

 The New Maiden cemetery is located on the territory of the New Maiden Convent. Many prominent Russian people are buried there. Most of the gravestones were created by best sculptors and are the masterpieces of art.
