Day Program
1

Arrival in Moscow. Transfer to the Hotel.

Guided transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Dinner at the hotel.

Evening is at leisure.

City tour. The Kremlin: territory + 3 cathedrals.

City tour.

The city tour of Moscow will take you to the Sparrow Hills to enjoy the impressive panorama of the downtown area; you will pass by the Victory park with its World War II Memorial, the New Maiden Convent, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the White House and ride along Kutuzovsky Avenue. You will stop at the St. Sofia Embankment of the Moskva-River to take pictures of the breathtaking panorama of the Moscow Kremlin. The culmination of the tour will be the visit to the Red Square.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Today you will enjoy a visit to the ancient heart of the Russian capital, see a unique architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square; walk by the enormous Tsar Bell and the Tsar Cannon.

Optionally you can visit the Armoury Chamber or the Diamond Fund.

Dinner at the hotel.

Evening is at leisure.

Sergiev Posad. Departure to Yaroslavl.

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning is the departure by coach to Sergiev Posad, an ancient town renowned for its Trinity St. Sergius Monastery, one of the oldest and most prominent in Russia.

Afterwards you will have lunch at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon you are transfered to Yaroslavl. The city tour will take you through the downtown area of this ancient city. A visit to the Transfiguration Monastery is included. Here you will also visit the workshop “Yaroslavl Icon”, where you can see and buy hand-made sacred images, unique souvenirs made by skilled artisans.

Dinner at the hotel.

Overnight in Yaroslavl.

Yaroslavl - Vladimir.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today you will have a city tour of Vladimir that includes the Assumption Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. Demetrius (outside view), the Golden Gate, a visit to the Museum of Glass.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Visit to Bogolyubovo (Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky’s former residence). The Church of the Intercession on the Nerl River (outside).

Dinner at the hotel.

Overnight in Vladimir.

Suzdal.

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast you will have a ride to Suzdal, another town of the famous Russian Golden Ring. You will have a city tour; will see the Kremlin, the St. Euthymus Monastery of the Savior, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration (inside), the Convent of the Intercession.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Moscow.

Dinner.

In the evening – transfer to the railway station for a train to St. Petesburg. Overnight in comfortable train cabins.

St.Petersburg. City tour. The Peter & Paul Fortress.

City tour.

During the city tour you will see the major attractions of this magnificent city: drive along Nevsky Prospect, have glimpses of the Winter Palace and the Admiralty, wander around the Smolny Convent and St. Isaac’s Cathedral. The visit to Peter & Paul Fortress will crown this day of sightseeing.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

You will visit the Hermitage, one of the Europe’s most prominent museums, housing the overwhelming collection of the Western Art.

Dinner at the hotel.

Visit to Pushkin, with its Catherine’s Palace and the Amber Room. Pavlovsk.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today you visit the countryside palace of Empress Elizabeth. The tour will take you through the stunning interiors, including the world-famous Amber Room.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch you will proceed to the town of Pavlovsk to visit a magnificent palace of Emperor Paul; the palace was used as his family summer residence. The landscape park, one of the largest in Europe, covers an area of 600 hectars. Dinner at the hotel.

Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport.

After leaving the hotel the guide will accompany you to the airport and help you to get around there to find your departure gate.
